Pump & Grind: Your Guide to the Hottest Workouts in Town

This year, a wave of new fitness trends has swept across Singapore, with each promising to be more fun, faster, and more effective than the last. Aussie fitness phenomenon F45 led the way, taking the city by storm and encouraging an onslaught of other fast-paced studio fitness classes (read more about that here).

Always on the hunt for new ways to stay fit and healthy, we caught up with Rhyce Lein, one of Singapore’s leading fitness gurus and General Manager of GuavaPass, to get his take on the top 5 studio workouts to hit Singapore in 2017.

STILL Boxing

Having gained popularity in NYC, STILL Boxing promises to revolutionise your workouts by combining boxing, cardio, strength building and toning into one action-packed group class. High-energy music and neon flash lights punctuate the dark room where the aqua boxing class takes place, getting your adrenaline racing and motivating you to push your limits. The full-body workout consists of five phases; Stretch, Shadow (practising your technique), Strike (actually punching the water-filled punching bags), Strength (think weights, squats and burpees), and Still (cool down), leaving you feeling the HIGH and the BURN! If you can move your arms the next day, then you didn’t work hard enough!
